Looking your best
Treat yourself to the smile you’ve always wanted.
There’s no reason to put up with dingy, chipped, stained, discolored, badly shaped, or crooked teeth anymore. We can provide many options to brighten, repair, and slightly straighten your existing teeth. Any unsightly spaces can be closed as well. Cosmetic veneers and crowns can revive any smile.
What are my options?
The choices of materials and types of treatment are as varied as the individuals who need them. It’s not unusual to use a combination of these techniques in the same mouth to meet the needs desires and clinical circumstances in creating natural looking teeth and that winning smile.
Cosmetic Bonding – Cosmetic resin veneers or bonding can generally be done in a single visit. After a small amount tooth shaping the dentist will bond and sculpt composite tooth colored filling material onto the teeth. Cosmetic bonding is the most economical of the options.
Cosmetic Veneers – Veneers are ultrathin shells crafted of tooth colored materials such as ceramic (porcelain), composite resin or a variety of other new products, which are bonded to the front sides of your teeth. These laboratory made restorations typically require minimal tooth removal and may be the ideal choice for improving slight to moderate corrections to the appearance of the front teeth. Laboratory made veneers will be more resistant to staining long term.
Cosmetic Crowns – A crown covers the entire remaining tooth. In areas where large current fillings, larger chips, or crooked/mis-shapened teeth exist, full coverage of the tooth may be needed for additional strength. Cosmetic crowns can be made of the same materials as the veneers to insure a great match and life like appearance when mixing the needs of each tooth to that of your overall smile goals.
The Cosmetic Procedures:
Cosmetic Bonding
Usually done in one sitting, this most economical choice entails:
- The area around the target tooth is numbed, and isolated for the procedure
- The tooth is lightly prepared or reduced to allow adequate space
- The bonding material is sculpted using various matching shades and tints.
- The finish product is meticulously shaped and polished
- You get to show off your smile.
